I've just read an article about Toyota in the states. They've recalled 3.8 million cars for faulty floor mats. Sounds mad doesn't it. But apparently in August Lexus recalled cars due to a number of high speed crashes caused by the accelerator getting jammed by the floor mat.
Sounds like total madness to me that a manufacturer like Toyota can get some as basic as a floormat wrong and has had to recall them.
